Why I love racing!

Everyone thinks I race because of “adrenaline” and “the rush”.  Those are components of racing, but that is not what drives me to come back every year.  Why do I love racing? Racing is very technical.  I enjoy the mental and intellectual challenge.  I love the fact that I know so little in the realm of what there is to master and I learn each and every time I am on the track.

Racing is very precise and there is always something to process, calculate or evaluate.  I also enjoy the challenge of maintaining my bike once I get off the track.  I am not a motor head and knowing how to keep the bike in good working order is an entirely different realm of knowledge and thus, another challenge!
